Klover Biomass Boiler Installation, Betws Gwerfil Goch

Introduction

In a quiet village nestled in Denbighshire, North Wales, a homeowner approached us to explore the possibilities of shifting away from electric storage heaters to a more sustainable and modern alternative. We recommended the installation of a Klover Thermoaura, a cutting-edge biomass boiler designed to optimise heating while minimising environmental impact. This case study examines our methodology, the installation process, funding and outcome of this project.

Methodology

During the initial consultation, we conducted a thorough assessment of the property’s heating needs, considering factors such as room dimensions, existing infrastructure and the homeowner’s requrements. After careful consideration, we recommended the Klover Thermoaura Pellet Boiler, renowned for its advanced features and eco-friendly operation. This wood pellet boiler, boasting up to 15kW of heat output, presented an ideal solution for the client’s requirements. With its innovative design, including self-cleaning mechanisms and remote control capabilities, the Thermoaura promised both efficiency and simplicity. Additionally, we proposed the installation of six new radiators and associated pipework, ensuring optimal heat distribution throughout the home.

Installation

Our team of experienced technicians carefully installed the Klover Thermoaura Pellet Boiler, fitting it into an existing fireplace located within the kitchen. Careful attention was given to positioning the boiler within this space for optimal functionality and aesthetics. During the installation, our team fitted the new radiators and pipework. Following the installation, extensive configuration and testing a were completed to verify the optimal operation of the upgraded heating system.

Funding

Recognising the expense of transitioning to low-carbon heating technologies, we explained the funding options available to reduce the upfront costs for the homeowner. By using the government’s Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), the customer was eligible for substantial financial support towards the installation of the biomass boiler. This funding, totalling £5000, was essential in making the project viable.

Outcome

With the Klover Thermoaura Pellet Boiler now fully operational, the homeowner is delighted with the results. The innovative features of the Thermoaura, including its high efficiency and simple controls, have delivered both comfort and convenience. The design and installation of new radiators and pipework have ensured every corner of the home is warm and cosy. Finally, the financial support obtained through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme eased the burden of upfront costs, making the transition to low-carbon heating possible.
